With the first couple months of 2021 under our belts, many of us are ready to wrap up winter and step into spring!  With ever evolving safety protocols and an increase in COVID vaccine availability, IRWA – at all levels – is keeping step with new ways of doing things.

Looking ahead, our chapter is planning to offer an in-person course in April.   I know our Education Committee Co-chairs are putting the final pieces in place, so take a look at your course history and see if this course could benefit you! This course can be swiftly converted to virtual, if safety and attendance makes necessary.

Our region officers are planning to meet for the Region Forum in early April.  Several chapter representatives from our neighboring states are ready to make the journey to Vancouver, WA to hold this semi-annual meeting, in person.  Big thank you to Leslie Finnigan for her help in getting the safe accommodations all set up.

The International Annual Education Conference is scheduled for June 6 – 9, 2021 in San Antonio, TX.  The conference planning committee is planning for a hybrid (virtual and in-person) conference.  Check out the conference website (https://eweb.irwaonline.org/eweb/StartPage.aspx?Site=sa2021) for details and updates.  The education and networking opportunities at this event are truly like none other.

Don’t forget to tune into our monthly Chapter Board meeting and Lunch & Learn this coming Friday, March 12th.  Virtual board meeting starts at 10:30a.m.  At noon, join us virtually for a discussion on the “State of the Economy” from Brandon Schrader, Workforce Analyst at Oregon’s Employment Department.  See our chapter website (https://irwachapter3.com/events/) for link.

Do take care,
