President's Report
To The Beaver Chapter:
As many of you know, this will be my last month as Chapter 3 President. It is bittersweet but I’m excited for what’s ahead for all of us!
Serving as your president has truly been an honor. This group is full of energy, passion, and heart, and I’ve loved every minute of working alongside everyone. We’ve accomplished so much together, from strengthening our programs to boosting engagement to keeping our chapter moving forward with purpose and enthusiasm. None of it would have happened without your support and willingness to jump in and make things happen!
A special thanks to our board members who were immensely supportive and kept the cjapter engine moving - Azure Olson, Bryant Cheong, Jennifer Daniel, Jaymeson Parry, and Barry Bliss, and of course all of our awesome chair members and past presidents who all were immensely helpful!
I’m incredibly confident in the incoming leadership team. They’re talented, motivated, and ready to keep the momentum going. I’ll of course still be on the board and will be here to support the transition and help however I can. Additionally, I will be taking on the communications chair and will keep getting the website up and running and updated!
Thank you all for trusting me with this role and for making this experience so meaningful. It has truly been a privilege — and a lot of fun!
Past Event
We had our most recent IRWA chapter meeting at Langdon Farms for our officer installations and awards, it was a great night with a strong turnout!
We had a lot to celebrate with this year’s awards:
- Project of the Year: Clackamas County et. al for the Stafford Road Improvement Project
- Employer of the Year: Clark County Real Estate Services
- Professional of the Year: Javier Morales-Hernandez with HDR
Congratulations again to all the winners—well deserved.
We also installed our incoming board, and I’m excited to see what the next year brings for the chapter. It was especially great to hear from Azure Olson as incoming president, along with remarks from Jim Lingeman and Leslie Finnegan, who bring a wealth of IRWA knowledge and experience!
A big thank you to all of the speakers for taking the time to share your thoughts (and to everyone for indulging a few words from me as outgoing president). It made for a really meaningful evening.
Between the good food, great venue, and even better company, it was a fun night all around. Thanks to everyone who came out and helped make it a success!
